This app is useless. You can’t add any books to it.

I opened this app literally right after I downloaded it and it just came up with a screen telling me to buy the paid version with no way to actually try the app. Why go to all the trouble of creating a demo app like that? Therefore, don't go to the trouble of downloading this app or of buying the paid version!

Hate it.when I want to download a book you have to buy the app😡and the app costs 3.99😡

App cannot see my iBooks or Kindle libraries. Throws errors connecting to other sources. Useless.

Demo doesn't even work. Wouldn't risk buying it.

wonderful until you try to read a book, whereupon it tells you you should have bought the other version.

This app is just a carrot dangling in front of you to purchase the full app for $5. It did measure my speed of reading and they offer 2 unheard of books on the free version. If you purchase the full version then you can download a lot of the classics or as another review said "old books".

For novels? Speed reading will *invariably* strip the enjoyment from it. Trust me - I know. For office documents? Copy/paste and Instapaper are the only solutions you support? That won't fly - you need to add support for ePub or something else that can be prepared in-house and allow a way to install the file via local wi-fi --- coz many office documents we won't want to share with an off-site service like Instapaper. Oh - and please add an option to disable the automatic page-turn when I reach the bottom of a page. Just add that as an option in settings.

This app is just a sample of the full version. You get to test all the speed reading features with an excerpt of a Kurt Vonnegut book. You can't download any other books. I would download the full version but I see too many critical comments/reviews about the app crashing. Hence, I will still hold off for a while and just practice speed reading with real books and/or my Kindle app.

You have to buy before you speed read, very misleading.

What?! This app is so hard to use. It takes too long to find the book I want to read. It can't manage to find even the easiest to find books. I wish that it could see my IBook books...

It's useless to me if I cannot change the screen brightness from within the app. If you add this, then you will have a life long customer and five stars for all versions.

It's ok. They only have really old books and I'm not the person who likes to read old books. I like new ones but I haven't even heard most of those books. I don't really like this app =-(

This app needs a terrible amount of work done on it. It needs more capability to import ebooks and more features. Not a very good eReader app.

Worthless! All the books are in German. I have nothing against German other than I DON'T KNOW IT! Tried to fix it in settings, but couldn't find it after a few mins. And if that's difficult to find how many other problems are there. Maybe I'm dense and DL'd the wrong one. Who knows. Epic fail.

First with regard to the comment made by etip on the 350 wpm limit the setting is adjustable. Either this was changed or etip may need to reread the manual slower. ;) One of the problems with all the speed reading apps is the screen size of the iPhone. Increasing the width of what you can take in without moving your eyes is on of the keys to speed reading. The small iPhone screen will only let you progress to a certain point. Once the ipad arrives this problem will be gone.

Decent app. I would buy the full version if it allowed import of ebooks and not just copy/paste importing. I'd also like to beabke to create my own bookmarks throughout the books. It would also be a much more effective app if the highlighting were smooth and fluid rather than jerky. At high speeds it is counter productive and unnatural.

This is a great app and really works!!! i've had it for a day and already i can feel myself reading faster! if you want to learn to speed read, then this is the best app out there. it's simple, easy to use, adjustable, and does its job fast. i really recomend quickreader.

Some of the glowing reviews particularly for the full version are obvious fakes/plants. Yes, I am smart enough to figure out the app - but why not include a help section that provides some basic guidlines, background to the concept etc.? It is a no brainer to add a "book" containing more info on the app, concept etc. that could be used for practice. Instead, we are forced to boring fables over and over. Only including one (lame) eBook does not allow me to determine if this will work for me. It rated me at over 400 wpm - then limits me to 350! In other words, it is actually slowing down my reading. Unbelievable. This is one case where a lite app actually cost them a sale. I read the reviews on the full version and was impressed but very dissappointed in the limitations and lack of explanation in this lite version. Also, no way I would pay $ 5 for the full versions since it STILL doesn't let you import your own text. Don't give me that BS about that not being it's "intended purpose" - other speed reading apps at less than 1/2 the price let you import.

I got the full version just days after getting the lite. I immediately saw the power of this app. I highly recommend you get it!
